Apache Bronco’s goals transform our vision into long-term action by building the historical, human, financial, and organizational foundation required to preserve the story, strengthen members, and create something future generations can inherit.
Strategic Priorities
Build a responsible historical record through genealogy, archival research, family documents, photographs, oral histories, recorded testimony, and other credible sources. Preserve what exists today before more history is lost.
Help relatives and descendants rediscover connections separated by distance, migration, changing names, incomplete records, and generations of time. Create opportunities to exchange information and preserve memories responsibly.
Work toward resources, programs, relationships, and opportunities that improve the lives of Apache Bronco members and their families through education, mentorship, workforce development, entrepreneurship, professional development, family resources, and community support.
Create a foundation that gives younger generations greater access to family history, education, mentorship, leadership development, cultural knowledge, and opportunity. What one generation preserves can become the next generation’s foundation.
Develop a professionally organized and responsibly managed collection of family histories, photographs, documents, interviews, genealogical research, historical materials, and digital records while respecting privacy, family ownership, cultural sensitivity, and responsible access.
Develop responsible ways to share Apache Bronco history through the website, written histories, interviews, educational material, documentary work, digital media, public programs, exhibitions, and future publications without speaking for sovereign Native nations.
Create the long-term financial strength required for Apache Bronco to continue its work through a diversified strategy that can include grants, individual supporters, recurring contributions, major donors, sponsorships, philanthropic partnerships, fundraising campaigns, collaborative grants, mission-aligned earned revenue, and reserve planning when legally and organizationally appropriate.
Develop governance, financial systems, operational infrastructure, policies, technology, leadership, recordkeeping, impact measurement, grant readiness, donor stewardship, transparent reporting, data protection, and succession planning.
Develop relationships with historians, genealogists, archivists, educators, universities, museums, cultural institutions, Native-led organizations, philanthropic organizations, community groups, businesses, and appropriate public agencies while respecting the authority of sovereign Native nations.
Member Well-Being
Historical preservation matters because people matter. Apache Bronco’s long-term direction includes helping members and future generations gain stronger access to knowledge, opportunity, mentorship, leadership, education, professional growth, and community resources.
Future initiatives must be described honestly as goals until they are funded, established, and operating.
Long-Term Organizational Sustainability
Funding is not a side request. It is part of building the professional capacity required to preserve history, strengthen members, support youth, operate responsibly, and continue the work across generations.
