ANCESTRAL RESPONSIBILITY. CREATIVE LEADERSHIP.
Thana Redhawk brings ancestral responsibility, cultural stewardship, creative leadership, and years of artistic and media experience to Apache Bronco.
Her work spans spoken word, poetry, recorded music, production, media, cultural advocacy, and Indigenous storytelling. Her recorded body of work includes Medicine Frequencies and Fires of Thunder.
Fires of Thunder received the Native American Music Award for Spoken Word Recording, and her creative history includes collaborations with the late poet, musician, actor, and activist John Trudell.
03 — The Responsibility
LEAD WITH CARE. PRESERVE WITH DIGNITY.
Within Apache Bronco, Redhawk serves as Head Woman, Seer, and Director.
Her responsibilities bring together women's leadership, cultural perspective, spiritual reflection, preservation, documentation, storytelling, and representation. The work requires both care for what families carry and discipline about how that knowledge is represented.
04 — Why Apache Bronco Exists
CREATE A PLACE WHERE MEMORY CAN ENDURE.
Apache Bronco provides a framework for preserving family histories, cultural knowledge, creative expression, spiritual understanding, and voices carried between generations.
For Redhawk, preservation is not simply about keeping material. It is about treating what survives with dignity, context, and responsibility so that it remains meaningful to the people connected to it.
05 — Where History Survives
IN VOICES. IN ART. IN MEMORY. IN RECORDS.
History can survive in forms that do not look alike: oral testimony, family stories, creative work, photographs, recordings, documents, cultural knowledge, and personal memory.
Redhawk's artistic and media background brings particular attention to the power of voice and creative expression while keeping the difference between expression, memory, and documented evidence clear.

Family testimony deserves respect without being transformed into archival proof. Documentary evidence deserves careful reading without being treated as the only place human history survives.
